Why You Shouldnt Sell a Prospect on Your Network Marketing Program!
It's normal for someone comming into Network Marketing to try and sell people on joining,
and that is the worst thing you can do is Sell your MLM Prospect into joining your opportunity.
When I say sell, I mean the arm twisiting, shame them into it kind of selling.
We've all heard the slick closing comebacks that people use, inorder to close the prospect,
which makes for a nice commission and adds one more person into your downline,
but will they do anything? Will they quit after 30 days? Sold prospects usually do.
Things like," that's the last top spot ", or "if you are looking at a car, the salesperson
says "buy it before they do". You get the picture.
If you use those tactics in Network Marketing, they will come back to haunt you within a week.
You get a call from your prospect, who was sold against his will, wanting to know how many
people are in his downline. How much is his check going to be? You said I'd be rich within the month.
(Even though you never said that). The old saying goes," A man convinced against his will,
is of the same opinion still."
Be an Informer about your network marketing business. Yes you can work from home,
part time, and start working towards building a great income. But as in any business, whether you
have an actual store front, or a homebased business, things take time to develop; a foundation has
to be built first.
Could you image erecting a sky scrapper without building a foundation? It would
come down like a house of cards. There are things that your Prospect needs to know, before they
fill out the application. Don't be afraid to tell them, the good, the bad and the ugly. That way they can
make an informed, intelligent decision, and if they join, they are more likely to do something, because
they now know what to expect.
Big Al, Tom Schreiter, recommends, after explaining all that you can about your opportunity, the
only closing question to really use is,"Well, what do you think?" Then he says, shut up and listen
while they tell you. Either they have reasons why they can do the business or they have a list of
reasons why they can't. It's ok to remind them of the reason that they gave you for looking at a
business opportunity in the first place, but don't go into arm twisting to get them to join. If you do, they
won't buy product, they won't try and duplicate themselves and some people even whine and complain.
You need positive, upbeat prospects in your downline, not boat anchors dragging the whole team down.
